Soul Eater

This anime series is pretty interesting because of what the characters goals are.  Anyway the characters go to the DWMA (Death Weapon Meister Academy) in Death City and they go defeat evil creature called Kishin and then collect the Kishin souls (99 + 1 witch's soul in all), and they do this all so that the Meisters can make their weapons into the next death weapon for the Grim Reaper or "Death".  Things can get frantic, and there's tons of action but if you watch this then you will most likely to love this anime. The anime series isn't just fighting evil and all that, there are many scenes that are what you can call "slice of life" scenes.  And you could technically say that Maka and Soul are the main characters, but in my opinion those two and their friends all play important rules.  Also you could always read the manga if you don't like watching anime, that or you could just read it because you like reading manga.
