Percy Jackson Series

In this book series there are a total of 5 books, and the author of this series is Rick Riordan.

Ok so in the first book it introduces us to Percy Jackson, a young boy who seems to always have strange things happen to him.  After this and that happens he soon finds himself at Camp Half-Blood where he learns how to fight and also learns who his father is.  His father then turns to be an Olympic God.  It would also seem that the gods fall in love with mortals creating half-blood children (half god/half human) with powers.  Anyway Percy is thrust into a quest and now has to save the day.  And of course you can't forget the fact that there's a prophecy about his future as well.

In the second book picks up a year later and there's trouble at Camp Half-Blood.  Its magical borders which protect Half-Blood hill have been poisoned by an enemy, and the only safe haven for demigods is on the verge of being overrun by mythological monsters. It would seem that to save the camp Percy needs the help of his best friend, who by the way has been taken prisoner on an island somewhere in the Sea of Monsters.  Percy and his friends old and new must retrieve the Golden Fleece from the island of Cyclopes by the end of summer of Camp Half-Blood will be destroyed.  But first things first Percy will learn a stunning secret about his family.  One that makes him question whether being claimed is an honor or simply a cruel cruel joke.

In the third book you begin to see Percy's strength and maturity grow.  It begins with Percy and his closest friends trying to sneak out two half-bloods from a private military school, but things turn messy and they stumble upon yet another problem.  During a battle Annabeth is kidnapped. The goddess Artemis and her huntresses appear in the book as well.  It would also seem that the two new half-bloods that they saved will play a bit part in the third book. All I can say is that so far these books have never left me bored or wanting me to just stop reading.

Then there's the fourth book where you see that Percy Jackson isn't too thrilled for freshman orientation, but when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears on campus followed by demon cheerleaders things go from bad to worse.  It would even the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood grows more vulnerable by the minute as Kronos's army prepares to invade once the impenetrable borders are destroyed that is.  And to stop this invasion Percy and his demigod friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth, which holds shocking surprises at every single turn.  So the question is can Percy stop his beloved Camp Half-Blood from crumbling into nothingness.

The last book (book 5) is when the battle against the Titans happens, and the half-bloods will go into battle knowing that the odds of victory are grim.  While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos advances on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands wide open, unguarded.  Now it would seem that it's up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.  So the long awaited prophecy surrounding Percy's sixteenth birthday unfolds, and as the battle for Western civilization rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy must face a terrifying suspicion that he may be fighting against his own fate (DUN-DUN-DUUUUN).
